For the first time, the ESAIC offers the opportunity to showcase at Euroanaesthesia prototypes, devices, digital solutions, and educational tools, fostering collaboration and highlighting ideas with the potential to improve clinical practice and patient care.<\/p>\n

Application for the Innovation Showcase is optional.
\nSubmitters can opt to submit their abstract in a dedicated section of the Submission Platform. They will then be invited to provide more specific information as to the innovation their abstract presents.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

A distinct Review will be organised for the selection of Innovation Abstracts. The results will be shared with the submitting authors, after the results of the general selection.

The best abstracts submitted will be selected by the ESAIC Scientific Committee for the Best Abstract Prize Competition (BAPC), that will be held at Euroanaesthesia 2027 in Copenhagen, Denmark.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Nominees for the Best Abstract Prize Competition will be notified by the ESAIC. Each nominee will give a 10-minute PowerPoint presentation followed by a 5-minute discussion of the abstract at Euroanaesthesia 2027.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

A free registration and a travel grant will be awarded to the 20 best abstracts from trainees in good standing with their ESAIC membership for 2027. At least 5 of these grants will be awarded to trainees from a lower-income country.<\/p>\n

IMPORTANT: To be automatically considered for a grant, you must<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. be the presenter of the abstract*
    \n<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. make sure to acquire\/renew your ESAIC Trainee membership by 31 December 2026.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    *The designated presenter is, per default, the author who submitted the abstract.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    All accepted abstracts presented at the Euroanaesthesia 2027 congress will be published in their entirety as an e-supplement to the European Journal of Anaesthesiology (EJA). The publication of the accepted abstract is therefore dependent on the timely registration of the abstract presenter.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    If accepted for presentation at the congress, the abstract will be published as entered into the abstract submission platform (no modifications allowed).<\/p>\n

    \n How can I amend my abstract?\n <\/h4>\n\n \n \n \n \n <\/svg>\n\n <\/div>\n\n
    \n

    It is still possible to make corrections to an abstract prior to the submission deadline, even if it has already been submitted. The abstract can be saved, edited and revised online as many times as needed,\u202funtil the submission period ends (10 December 2026, 23:59 CET).<\/strong><\/p>\n

    After the submission period, corrections are no longer possible.<\/strong>\u202fIf errors are discovered in the abstract after the deadline, you can either withdraw the abstract or \u2013 for minor errors \u2013 indicate the correction during presentation at the congress.
    \nPlease note, changes will not be included in the published version of the abstract. We, therefore, recommend carefully reviewing your abstract before submitting it on the dedicated submission platform.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n

    \n Can I change the presenter of an Abstract after the submission deadline?\n <\/h4>\n\n \n \n \n \n <\/svg>\n\n <\/div>\n\n
    \n

    The author who submits the abstract is automatically designated presenter. This cannot be changed until the final selection results are announced.<\/p>\n

    After the announcement of the results,<\/em> if the abstract has been selected and a change of presenter is necessary, the original presenter can login to the abstract submission platform and select, in the authors section, another presenter for\u00a0the abstract. The new presenter must be selected among the authors of the abstract.<\/p>\n

    All mandatory information should be \ufb01lled in as appropriate.<\/p>\n

    The new presenter must register for the full physical congress by 25 March 2027.<\/p>\n

    If a change of presenter is requested after 25 March 2027, the new presenter has to be already registered for the full physical congress for the change to be possible. The original presenter is responsible for providing the new presenter with all information previously sent by the ESAIC Headquarters regarding the abstract and onsite presentation.<\/p>\n

    Important:<\/u><\/strong> the same presenter cannot be assigned more than 3 abstracts<\/strong>. Co-authors must be appointed as presenters, if that is the case after the selection results announcement.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n

    \n What is the registration process of the Abstract presenter?\n <\/h4>\n\n \n \n \n \n <\/svg>\n\n <\/div>\n\n
    \n

    If the abstract is accepted, the work must be presented in-person at Euroanaesthesia 2027, in Copenhagen, Denmark.\u00a0There is no possibility to present the abstract online<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Presenters of accepted Abstracts must register for the full physical congress 25 March 2027!<\/p>\n
