How many CME Credits will I be able to earn at Euroanaesthesia 2025?
Yes, Euroanaesthesia delegates will be able to claim CME credits both on the sessions they attended in person or online, live or On-demand and up until 3 months after the congress.
Accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) is an essential component of continuing physician professional development. Accreditation is of utmost importance – both as a proof of top quality of the scientific contents of the congress and as an opportunity for delegates to collect their CME credits.
Delegates can exchange their EACCME credits into National CME credits in their home country.
Physicians may have their EACCME credits converted to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit by applying to the American Medical Association at www.ama-assn.org/go/cme.
How do I claim my CME credits?
You can claim your credits by attending scientific sessions and evaluating them on the online evaluation platform. You can access the evaluation platform two ways:
- Directly on the certificate platform, which will be made available closer to the congress date. You will be able to use either your myESAIC credentials or badge/e-badge number to login.
- Via the virtual platform, by clicking on the link “Evaluate” within each session and using either your myESAIC credentials or badge/e-badge number to login.
Who is eligible to earn CME credits?
All delegates who attend the congress in-person or online are eligible to earn European CME credits.
How can I amend my abstract?
It is still possible to make corrections to an abstract prior to the submission deadline, even if it has already been submitted. The abstract can be saved, edited and revised online as many times as needed until the submission period ends.
After the submission period, corrections are no longer possible. If errors are discovered in the abstract after the deadline, you can either withdraw the abstract or – for minor errors – indicate the correction during a presentation at the congress. Please note, changes will not be included in the published version of the abstract. We, therefore, recommend carefully review your abstract before submitting it on the dedicated submission platform.
What are the Abstract publication details?
All accepted abstracts will be published in their entirety as an e-supplement to the European Journal of Anaesthesiology (EJA). Note that publication of the accepted abstract is dependent on pre-registration of the abstract presenter.
If accepted for presentation at the congress, the abstract will be published as entered into the abstract submission programme.
What is the Abstract presentation format?
Abstract presenters will be required to prepare an e-poster and make a short formal presentation in front of the e-poster terminal.
Two chairpersons will conduct a short discussion of each abstract with the presenter and the audience, for every abstract in that session. In each session, up to 12 abstracts can be presented.
Abstract presentation will only take place onsite at Euroanaesthesia in Lisbon, Portugal. Virtual/online presentations will not be organised.
What if there are time conflicts when presenting several abstracts?
We usually avoid scheduling several abstract presentations by the same person at the same time. Unfortunately, considering the high number of abstracts presented at the Congress, time conflicts may still occur and presentations cannot be rescheduled. Should this happen, please consider the following options:
- Ask a co-author attending the congress to present one of the abstracts for you.
- Ask the chairpersons of the sessions in which your abstracts have been scheduled to be the first to present in one session and the last in the other. This way you can present both abstracts yourself.
I still have an unanswered question. Whom can I contact?
If you have any questions regarding your abstract submission, please contact the ESAIC Secretariat via abstracts@esaic.org.
When contacting the ESAIC Secretariat in relation to an abstract, please always mention the abstract reference (#xxxx) and title.
