About the event
Join us the day before Euroanaesthesia 2026 for our 7th pre-congress daytime course covering the fundamental points of anaesthesia in obesity.
International Experts will discuss aspects of and workup for bariatric surgery, the disease processes and societal consequences of obesity, the impact of obesity on the cardiovascular & respiratory systems, and on the Pharmacology of anaesthetic drugs.
Further lectures will cover airway management, PONV, analgesia, and anaesthesia strategies, pulling together all the theoretical and practical aspects. The meeting will conclude with complex case discussions, followed by an interactive self-assessment quiz.
This course will apply for accreditation by the EACCME® & for CPD points by the UK Royal College of Anaesthetists.

Join us in Rotterdam for an evening of cutting-edge research presentations in Bariatric and Obesity Anaesthesia, of current controversies in the best peri-operative care of these patients, and networking with your peers.
Trainee Abstract Competition – €500 / €300 / €150 prizes! – We accept submissions of any obesity anaesthesia abstract from the previous 18 months (see website for details). The best five will be presented live and discussed on the night.
