Simulation Lab

Our Simulation Lab in Rotterdam will offer participants an immersive experience in simulation-based and experiential learning. Designed by simulation experts, the programme includes a variety of sessions using high-fidelity and procedural simulation training across anaesthesia, intensive care, and emergency medicine.

Attendance for simulation workshops is limited and requires pre-registration, available only to delegates registered for the in-person congress in Rotterdam. However, even without workshop registration, all congress attendees are welcome to observe the Sim Lab in its open-view setting.

Anaesthesiologists have led the way in using high-fidelity mannequins to study human factors and improve crisis management in critical situations. High-fidelity sessions will allow participants to tackle complex clinical scenarios using patient simulators, followed by debriefing sessions with skilled instructors who offer constructive feedback.

In procedural sessions, participants will receive hands-on training in specific perioperative procedures, using live models, virtual reality simulators, part-task trainers, and ultrasound equipment.

ATTENTION!! Please note that the workshops offered during the congress are not CME-accredited, in adherence to compliance regulations. Participants who attend the workshops will receive a Certificate of Attendance to acknowledge their participation.
