Euroanaesthesia is recognised worldwide as one of the most important and influential annual congresses in anaesthesiology and intensive care. With a history of over 5000 international participants from more than 100 countries and exhibitors, Euroanaesthesia is truly an outstanding international platform to enhance knowledge, review innovative techniques, learn on our guidelines, and communicate, collaborate and network with a large international audience.
This year, Euroanaesthesia will be a hybrid congress, scheduled to be held from 03 June 2023 – 05 June 2023. So there will be the option of attending in person in Glasgow, Scotland or joining us online for the virtual event. Wherever you are, and whatever your needs, we have the solution and are excited to welcome you to this year’s congress!
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is an enormous pleasure to welcome you to the Euroanaesthesia 2023 (EA23) Congress held from 3 to 5 June 2023 in Glasgow, Scotland.
The successful Euroanaesthesia 2022 edition demonstrated that we need a place to meet, connect and share our experiences now more than ever. We are delighted to assemble anaesthesiologists and intensivists and provide a lively platform to learn and share their knowledge and views in a creative and engaging setting in the beautiful city of Glasgow. The three-day programme follows the tradition of excellent scientific abstract presentations, educational sessions and cutting-edge lectures by anaesthesiology and intensive care experts, guaranteeing a memorable congress.
This year’s Euroanaesthesia programme has been made more compact yet as comprehensive, including sessions in a wide range of topics, from general anaesthesiology to intensive care, critical emergency and pain medicine, and approaching science from the different angles of patients, organs, therapies and more. Scientific sessions have been planned in various formats to increase interactions and adapt to all learning preferences. In addition, an extensive workshops programme has been designed to offer a mix of learning experiences and continue promoting innovation in medical education. As such, Euroanaesthesia delegates can also acquire technical and non-technical skills through a variety of practical workshops, serious games and simulation sessions targeted to all levels of participants.
Moreover, all ESAIC activities and special Committee sessions will be showcased in the ESAIC Expo, a central room entirely dedicated to presenting ESAIC projects and initiatives, including the opportunity for delegates to meet key stakeholders of ESAIC projects and Committees. Come and meet us there to learn more about our Society and join this amazing community!
While enjoying the opportunities to learn and network at Euroanaesthesia 2023, you will have the chance to explore Glasgow and Scotland. Interestingly, the name Glasgow comes from the Celtic word Cleschi meaning Dear Green Place. Despite its industrial and shipbuilding roots, Glasgow is famed for its green spaces. This fact was acknowledged by the city fathers who, during the industrial revolution, took pains to maintain and develop these green spaces perpetually for the population.
Finally, Euroanaesthesia 2023 will again be the hub where our industry partners will showcase innovative and cutting-edge developments in the field. Simultaneously, the Congress will enable us to advance our shared understanding of the many complex issues in our discipline, providing an unrivalled environment for the congress to advance anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine and practices.
We eagerly welcome you to Euroanaesthesia 2023, Europe’s landmark meeting on anaesthesia, intensive care, pain, perioperative medicine, and critical emergency medicine, for an inspiring and joyful experience to advance our field further.
Sincerely,
Prof. Edoardo De Robertis ESAIC President |
Prof. Idit Matot ESAIC Scientific Committee Chairperson |
